The Online Curriculum for Educators was developed with teachers, for teachers! The curriculum focuses on visual literacy, critical thinking, and cross-curricular connections based on the four themes of Portraiture, Landscape, New Hampshire Artists and New Hampshire Artists’ Colonies.
Linked to both New Hampshire and national educational standards, the curriculum is designed to provide teachers with background information, vocabulary, concepts and classroom activity suggestions as well as a structure upon which to build lessons about various New Hampshire artists, artistic movements and themes. Teachers of all subjects will find creative ways to incorporate the Currier Museum of Art’s collection in the classroom, and the content is designed to shape a complete unit for students.
Purchase a Museum Membership, (for as little as $45 per year), and as an educator you will receive additional educator benefits. Educator members receive an invitation to the annual Evening for Educators and discounts on selected educational offerings. Please call the Membership Department at 603.669.6144, x194 or x152 to join.
