Museum Security Officers (part-time)
The Currier Museum of Art seeks part time security officers to ensure the protection and safety of our 72,500 sq. ft. Museum, providing a safe and secure environment for the museum’s collections, properties, facilities, visitors and staff while delivering superior customer service. Successful candidates will have previous security and customer service experience (prior law enforcement or criminal justice experience a plus!), high attention to detail, strong interpersonal and communication skills, sound judgment and decision-making, and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
Position requires standing for long periods of time, climbing stairs, and ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. Must pass a criminal background check, have a valid driver’s license, and be available nights and weekends.

GRADUATE & UNDERGRADUATE INTERNSHIPS
The Currier Internship Program is designed to help students undergraduate and graduate students develop the skills necessary for working in a museum setting. Internships provide students with a broad range of experiences and are appropriate for those studying art history, museum studies, education, marketing, fundraising or related fields. Students are encouraged to view the internship as an exchange of professional ideas between the museum and intern.
All internships include professional mentoring, with the goal of helping students develop their professional identity.
Internships are granted for educational credit only.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Earn and Learn: Teen Volunteer Summer Program
The Art Center Summer program admits a select group of 15 teens to assist with our programming needs during each summer session. This program is ideal for teens who wish to contribute their time, creativity and energy to a variety of our organizational needs, including assisting in the classroom, assisting the Program Manager, assisting with After-Camp Care, assisting Artist Mentors and more. The experience gained by working in the Art Center is enriching on many levels, personally and professionally. The Art Center honors students in this program with tuition remission for classes at the Art Center, totaling half-off the price of tuition for every 30 hours contributed, and full tuition remission for every 60 hours contributed. Internships at the Art Center are granted through a review process. Students must be willing to commit to a minimum of two full-week schedules.
If you are interested in participating in this program, please submit a letter of intent to Linn Krikorian, postmarked or e-mailed by May 14. Interviews with final candidates will take place in late May and early June to determine our intern team. An Orientation Meeting will follow in mid-June.
